Community Guidelines
Nasib (نصيب) is built for the Lebanese community — a diverse, vibrant, and welcoming space. These guidelines help ensure everyone has a positive, respectful experience.
Our Values
Nasib is founded on the principles of respect, authenticity, and safety. We celebrate Lebanese culture and diversity while maintaining a safe environment for everyone.
Be Authentic
- Use your real identity: Your profile should represent who you really are
- Post recent photos: Your photos should be current and clearly show your face
- Be honest: Don't misrepresent your age, occupation, or intentions
- One account only: Each person may have only one Nasib account
Be Respectful
- Treat others with kindness: Communicate with the same respect you'd want in return
- Respect boundaries: If someone isn't interested, accept it gracefully
- Cultural sensitivity: Respect the diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and traditions within the Lebanese community
- Language: Communication should be respectful in English, Arabic, French, or any language used on the platform
What's Not Allowed
Harassment and Bullying
- Sending unwanted or repeated messages after being told to stop
- Making threats of violence or harm
- Intimidation, stalking, or following someone
- Sharing someone's personal information without consent (doxxing)
Hate Speech and Discrimination
- Content that promotes hatred based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or nationality
- Slurs, derogatory language, or content intended to demean
- Content promoting extremist ideologies
Inappropriate Content
- Sexually explicit photos or messages (including unsolicited explicit images)
- Content depicting or promoting violence
- Content promoting illegal activities or substance abuse
- Spam, scams, or commercial solicitation
Dishonesty and Fraud
- Creating fake profiles or impersonating others
- Using the platform for financial scams or catfishing
- Misleading information about your identity or intentions
- Using bots or automated systems
Underage Users
- You must be 18 or older to use Nasib
- Do not post content involving minors
- Report any suspected underage users immediately
Safety First
- Protect your personal information: Don't share your address, financial details, or other sensitive information with people you've just met
- Meet in public: For first meetings, choose well-lit public places
- Tell someone: Let a trusted friend or family member know about your plans
- Trust your instincts: If something feels wrong, it probably is
Reporting
If you encounter anyone violating these guidelines:
- Tap the three-dot menu on their profile or in the chat
- Select "Report"
- Choose the appropriate reason
- Add any additional details
Our moderation team reviews every report, typically within 24 hours. We use trilingual AI moderation (English, Arabic, French) to help detect violations proactively.
Consequences
Violations of these guidelines may result in:
- Warning: For minor first-time violations
- Temporary Suspension: For repeated or moderate violations
- Permanent Ban: For severe violations or patterns of harmful behavior
- Legal Action: For criminal activity, threats, or harassment
We reserve the right to take action at our discretion to maintain community safety.
Appeals
If you believe action was taken on your account in error, you may submit an appeal through Settings > Support > Appeal, or by contacting support@nasib-group.com
Updates
We may update these guidelines to address new situations and improve community safety. Material changes will be communicated through the app.
These guidelines exist to make Nasib a safe, welcoming space for the Lebanese community. Thank you for being part of it.
